BEST MAN - Short Film

My name is Owain Collins, and I'm a filmmaker developing my capstone film for my senior year at Interlochen Arts Academy. Because my film includes significant elements of body horror, I'm looking for funding to cover the equipment needed to execute production design and convincing special effects. A small portion of will also go toward keeping my crew fed and hydrated!

Best Man is a 20-30 minute film following Lucas, who is dragged to a flamboyant, filthy-rich wedding in the fictional town of Los Diodes by his boyfriend Parker - the wedding's best man. Lucas is introduced to the grooms, strangely identical wealthy entrepreneurs whose relationship upstages Lucas's own. Once their newest nightmarish cosmetic procedure is introduced- a reinvention of the face- insecurity, unruly desire, and capitalistic greed overtake Lucas and Parker as they spiral into envy-spiked insanity. Will their love and morality get them to the wedding the next morning, or will their insatiable growing hunger get in the way?
