Beta Theta Pi Spring 2025 Philanthropy
Tax deductible

This year, Beta Theta Pi is honored to be working with Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Their mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Educate until every dog has a loving and safe place to call home. We believe we can, and we will see an end to dog homelessness and abuse through legislative efforts, hard work and strategic partnerships near and far. Alongside rescuing dogs,Big Dog Ranch provides a Veteran Training Program that works closely with the local Veterans Administration. The developed Veteran Service Dog Training Program aims to support military veterans by harnessing the transformative power of the human-animal bond. This initiative not only assists veterans in need, but also provides rescue dogs with a second chance by training and pairing them with veterans who can greatly benefit from the companionship and assistance of a trained service dog. The V.A. has classified the Big Dog Ranch Rescue Veteran Dog Training Program as a “Non-Traditional and Innovative” therapy.
We will never give up and we will never back down from the needs of all heartbeats because every life matters.
The core purpose of Big Dog Ranch Rescue:
- Save 5,500 dogs every year
- Heal and place dogs with loving families
- Educate people about the proper care for dogs and the importance of spaying and neutering
The core purpose and benefits of the Veterans Training Program:
- The dogs use trained tasks to help assist Veterans with disabilities in their day-to-day lives.
- Specific rescue dogs will be identified and matched up to the needs of the Veteran.
- Big Dog Ranch Rescue will provide all training and equipment for both the Veteran and dog, at NO cost to the Veteran.
- Each dog will be kept up to date on all vaccinations, micro-chipped, and receive reduced-cost veterinary care and services for the first year of training through Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s veterinary healing center.
This semester’s philanthropy is dedicated to help raise money for Big Dog Ranch Rescue Veterans Training Program to help rescue and place dogs with loving families as well as help military Veterans by using the power of the human-animal bond while providing a second chance for rescue dogs by training and matching them up with military veterans who can benefit from having a trained service dog in their lives.
