Beth Davies Rice

Hi, my name is Kristin, and I’m a longtime friend of the Rice family. This beautiful family is devastated by the unexpected loss of their wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, Beth. Beth was nothing but pure love and her family (both human and dogs) was everything to her.

Beth was on sabbatical from her work at eBay when she became ill and was hospitalized. After a two-week stay, despite her valiant fight, Beth slipped into a coma, and was ultimately unable to overcome her battle. Just a few days short of her 48th birthday, and with her family by her side, Beth joined her beloved angel mother.

To know Beth was to know nothing but gentleness, kindness, and love. She lived for her family. She also loved her work families at both eBay and Expedia travel, and the friends she has gathered through the years. Beth was a friend to all and never spoke unkindly. She accepted everyone exactly as they stood. She is dearly missed. Anyone that knew and loved her shares that it’s impossible to wrap their heads around this.

Her family is heartbroken, and are navigating their grief as best they can. They have always worked very hard, but have incurred tremendous medical and end-of-life expenses, in addition to lost wages, as they’ve kept a bedside vigil and prayed for a miracle that was not to be.

Beth did not like a lot of fuss made over her in life, but absolutely would do anything to take care of her family.
