UPDATE: November 4th
Hello everyone, it is with deep sadness that we share of Beth’s passing in the early morning on October 31st. She was peaceful at home where she was surrounded by the love of family and friends in the days prior. She fought lovingly longer than any doctors thought she could. She was patient and kind through suffering and now can rest.
A piece of our heart and soul left with her.
Beth's love will always be remembered
and her spirit is undeniable. We are currently processing and handling the necessary steps, and we will keep you updated on the details for her memorial and celebration.
We have endless gratitude for each and every one of your prayers and support for Beth and her family throughout this journey. Anything given going forward will continue to support their family in this time of grieving❤️
UPDATE: June 23
There has been significant changes to Beth’s health status in the past couple weeks, so it is with devastation that we send this most recent update.
After 6 months of Chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy surgery in May, Beth was doing well and moving forward toward remission. However, on June 6 (about 3 weeks post op) Beth went to the ER when her headaches and severe back pain worsened. A CT scan showed abnormalities and she was sent to UCSF that same day for more testing. A brain MRI and Lumbar Puncture showed that Beth’s cancer has spread to her brain and spine in her cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The cancer is now Stage 4 and she has been diagnosed with a condition called Leptomeningeal Disease (LMD). It is a rare spread of cancer and there is no known cure. We are completely shocked and heart broken.
Beth was admitted to the UCSF hospital on June 7th to start whole brain and spine radiation for 2 weeks. The goal of the radiation is to help alleviate pain the cancer is causing in her CSF. There is no approved standard of medical care beyond this radiation treatment.
Beth will be coming home on Tuesday June 25th as we explore options from here.
We are looking at clinical trials in Florida and Texas, open to exploring all natural/functional/holistic medicine options, and praying for a miracle.
Beth and her 3 boys [Crew 11yr. Grant 9yr. Vance 7yr.] are our first priority right now, and we ask you to please pray with us. Pray for PEACE and COMFORT for them all.
