Beth Quintiliani and her courageous fight with ALS
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cindy Covell Maher and I first met Beth when my husband and I hired her to be our children's sitter back in the 1980's. There was something about Beth that I just loved! She was funny, a brat, full of life and she told it like it was. She made me laugh all the time! Beth started hanging out at her house. Beth was great fun and we went to the mall, I met her friends, and our friendship grew. Then before we knew it, Beth was grown up with a family of her own. She has two very handsome sons, Zackary now 12 and Damian, 10.
In July 2019 Beth started feeling ill with all kinds of various symptoms that the doctors couldn't figure out what the root cause was. Finally, on February 7, 2020, Beth received the diagnosis that no one wants to hear-AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS aka Lou Gehrig's Disease, aka ALS.
Here it is almost a year later and Beth's respiratory function is already down to 19% which as you can imagine is not good.
As you can imagine Beth cannot work and it falls on her children's father to provide. The looming cost of her cremation and funeral has become a major worry for her. They are not prepared for any of this as ALS came as a shock. Medical bills are mounting, and money is needed to be set aside to secure the children's future. During this time, Beth, her children and her loving partner/caregiver Lindsay, moved back in with her husband John whom she had separated from. He works very hard to support a family of 5.
Anything we can do to help her and her family would be greatly appreciated. Beth should not be spending this time worrying about financial issues.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Cindy
