Beth Stewart could use a hand

On November 9, my mom, Beth Stewart went to the hospital with extreme back and chest pain. Initially diagnosed with pneumonia, it was quickly discovered that her situation was more serious that previously suspected; she had a septic pulmonary embolism. Due to the severity of her condition, she remained in the hospital on IV antibiotics nearly a month, finally being released on December 8.

So, this is where things start getting easier, right? Go home. Rest. Get taken care of. In mom's case, it was only the beginning. At this point mom's car which had been on its last leg finally gave out, her home had been trashed and badly damaged by someone who was staying there, and water main had cracked somewhere between the meter and her place and we had to turn the water off. Mom has been staying some with Joy and I and some with her sister Patti. While she is wonderful to have around, I'm sure she is ready to have her own life and her own place back.

Still unable to return to work, her stresses and expenses have grown exponentially.

As we speak, we are trying to find a reasonably priced and dependable vehicle for her, and are saving up to repair her trailer and address the plumbing issue. I honestly don't even know how much it will cost to repair her place- but we have to start somewhere.

I kind of had to twist her arm to let me start this GoFundMe for her. Mom isn't comfortable asking for charity. Mom helps other people. That's who she is. That's what she has been doing at ResCare Premier for the past 9 years. Those of you that know her, know how huge her heart is. She had always been there for me, and right now I'm trying to be there for her. If you can spare a little, it's appreciated. If you can't, we certainly understand.
