Beth's Journey: Overcoming Brain Tumor
Donation protected
Most people know that my daughter-in-law (Elizabeth, aka Beth) had a tumor discovered on her brain a few months back. She had one surgery, but unfortunately, they couldn't get it all, so they scheduled another. There was about a 6-week wait due to insurance denial, but we finally got that straightened out. She had the second one to “finish it up,” but due to a bad angle, he could not complete the task. Both of those surgeries went through her sinus cavity, so he did a third surgery in which he opened the side of her skull. He believes that he got it all this time, but she will have to leave in 3 weeks or so to begin proton radiation to be sure there are no cells left. She will have to do this 5 days in a row, then off for 2.
The problem is there is not a machine closer than Little Rock, AR, so she will have to stay there! We want for the family (she has 6 kids) to be able to stay there with them as it should only be for about 1/2 hour per day. This (along with the surgeries) has been and will be extremely expensive, so we need to help them by raising funds!
