Betrayed and Struggling: Support for Rent

Hey everyone. This is so hard for me to ask for help in this capacity, but I’m deciding to put my pride aside to have a roof over my head.

On December 31st, I moved to Dayton with someone I trusted with everything. He ended up draining my bank account and making promises he did not keep. He is now avoiding responsibility for his actions and just let me know that he will not be able to assist with March rent. He knew this information for weeks and could have given me time to come up with the money, but lied about it instead.

I am in the midst of transitioning jobs, so I will not get paid for a few weeks. I am currently instacarting and ubering for money but it’s just not enough right now. As someone who manages depression on a daily basis, this is devastating and really taking a toll on my mental health at this point. I am asking for any help that I can get to keep a roof over my head and my cats' heads.
