Dearest Family and Friends,

Betsy is in the final stages of advanced breast cancer and is now receiving hospice care. She is expected to pass very shortly, and we are praying for a peaceful transition to the spiritual world. Currently in Lorman, Mississippi, Betsy will be flown to the Bay Area, California for her Seonghwa/Funeral and burial, where her beloved children, Sam and Virginia, live.

Betsy's Life and Mission

As a trailblazer and peacemaker for over 48 years with the Family Federation for World Peace, she devoted her life to educating leaders around the world. She worked as a professor, a missionary, an activist, and a political lobbyist to teach people about family, faith, and freedom. From Capitol Hill to the University of Bridgeport, as well as in countries such as Korea, China, and Japan—Betsy dedicated her life to creating a world that worked for everyone.

Her greatest joy was nurturing young people, whether by hosting Thanksgiving dinners for international students or providing guidance to those living far from home. Her life was a testament to her fearless love, as she constantly reminded people they belonged. Anyone who spent time with Betsy always left feeling supported and deeply loved.

Family and Community

Betsy's life revolved around family and faith. Her greatest dream was to have children and after years of struggling with infertility, she was blessed with twins. While she dedicated her life to serving her community, she believed that making a difference in the world began with building a strong family. Betsy's influence is reflected not only in her work but also through the legacy of love and leadership demonstrated by her husband and kids.

How to Support:

Many friends and community members have reached out, asking how they could support the Orman family during this difficult time. We are raising funds to cover funeral expenses, including:

* Funeral Home Services: Facility use, casket, and coordination of services in Mississippi and California.
* Burial Costs: Plot, grave opening/closing, and transportation to the Funeral/Seonghwa venue and cemetery.
* Transportation: Moving Betsy from Mississippi to California.
* Headstone or Marker: Cost of a headstone or grave marker.
* Additional Costs: Flowers, reception, and other services.

Her Family: Larry, Sam, Virginia, and Edy Iversen (twin sister) are deeply grateful for your prayers and support.
