Betsy’s Art & Media Project Fund-Deadline Nov. 4th

Hello Friends and Extended Community,

This is Betsy here doing something she never thought she would do - i.e. start a Go Fund Me Page. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to raise money for my many Art and Media projects. Many of you know me as an Actor and that indeed is my main art. Others may also know me from solo shows, improv show and the occasional pictures I post. I am a multi-hyphenate and to borrow from what I saw someone else post recently - I am fully embracing that aspect of myself. I have several script projects in the works they include but not limited to the below working titles:

Trailer - The story of a girl navigating the day and her alcoholic father

Baby Get Away - An animated short about a baby doll that has had enough

Sisterly - An animated series about some weird sisters

During this pandemic, I've been putting my nose to the grind stone and studying like a mad woman - Acting with Rob McCaskill, Clown from Carol Sirugo and Clown from Chris Bayes, Improvisation, Story Telling from the Magnet, Art for Animation with Jeff Buckland, Somatic practices with Madeline Kent and Independent Film Studies with Ela Their. I don't think this covers it all.

My goal with the fund raiser is to help with my ongoing pursuit in skills building- maybe towards a new laptop that is robust enough for Toon Boom. Using Baby Get Away and Sisterly as an example - I would love to get this in pitch shape for Netflix or Sony or someone like that. I won't be the animator but I would like to be the creator, artistic director and maybe show runner. At the very least, I want to know enough to get this on its' way into the world.
