Bette Carter Memorial Fund

Bette Carter was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer over five years ago. She fought a long, hard battle but succumbed to the disease on February 24, 2017 after the cancer metastasized to her brain. She dealt with chemotherapy, radiation, hair loss, bone pain, and numerous other side effects, but she never lost her faith or her smile. She gave so much to so many. She was the most wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend. She was also a special education teacher who had a tremendous love for autistic children. No matter how she felt, Bette never stopped serving others. She will be missed by so many.
Bette leaves behind her husband of twenty years, Tim, who was also her high school sweetheart. They have two beautiful daughters, Kaylie (16) and Gracie (13). Bette was hospitalized for almost two months before her death, and her medical bills will be overwhelming once they start pouring in. With their loss of Bette's income, as well as the tremendous medical bills, saving for college will be difficult. All money raised will go to help the family with these debts and future expenses. Any help will be greatly appreciated by the family.
