John's 80/80/80 Ride
Dr John Stace is riding solo across Australia on an ebike, a distance of 5000 kilometres. His mantra is 80/80/80 - he's riding 80 kilometres a day for 80 days before he turns 80. As a former medical doctor, who worked in regional Australia for decades, he understands the importance of keeping fit and healthy no matter where you live and what your age.
As a doctor - if John could prescribe a pill that would make you healthier and happier - it would be exercise. We all want streets and neighbourhoods where our kids and grandkids can walk and ride safely. That's why he's supporting the Better Streets initiative which helps communities prepare grassroots campaigns to ask for better footpaths, cycleways and street calming.
Better Streets helps grassroots community campaigns
Better Streets is a volunteer group that provides free tools and training so you can ask politicians, councils and state governments for better streets in your local area.

DONATE for our volunteer resources
We're raising funds to prepare free resources to anyone in the community who wants to advocate for better streetscapes. See our website (www.betterstreets.info) with resources and stories of success!
100% of the funds we're raising here will go directly towards preparing resources for our volunteers, updating the website, and training people in how to do grassroots advocacy for better streets in their own communities.
