Bettering Bona: Keeping Irvington History Alive

Tax deductible
The Bona Thomspon Memorial Center has been home to the Irvington Historical Society (estb. 1964), for the past 20 years. This 1903 building was recently generously gifted to the Irvington Historical Society. We are raising funds to make some necessary updates to improve and enhance our historic facility. Most importantly, the building is in need of a new roof. In addition, our aging HVAC system needs to be updated and replaced. Both projects are imperitive for the survival of our building and for the safety of our collections. Both projects will also further our efforts to be more energy efficient and enhance our goal of going green.

We have the opportunity to recieve a $100,00 grant which requires us to match that amount. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be counted as matching monies toward the goal of receiving the grant so that we will be able to make the needed building improvements. Please help us in our efforts to improve and enhance this historic community resource.

Our Mission Statement: Dedicated to preserving the Art, History, and Culture of the classic suburb of Irvington and the greater Indianapolis east side.
