Help Bettsy Beat MS

***Update from Bettsy - May 2023***
I have the most amazing update.
I have been offered a position in a HSCT trial here in Australia which is truly a blessing - I never even considered this to be a possibility for me.
We still have a really long road ahead and it’s not going to be easy but your generosity is going to be so incredibly helpful for my family and I through this time.
Because of this surreal opportunity, we no longer need to reach our goal of $60k, the current funds raised will cover the costs for my family and I to be away from home while I undertake treatment.
Thank you so much to everyone for helping me, without your support I don’t know how we would be able take this on.

***Update - February 2023***
Thank you all for your kind donations over the past couple of months, we are overwhelmed by the generosity.
We have revised the goal as Jess has attended consults with a number of clinics around the world and is hoping to travel within the next 3-4 months to have her treatment.
We are so close to reaching the goal, please continue to share this fund and Jess’ story ❤️❤️

Friends and Family,
I’ve created this fund to share a story, in the hopes that you can join me in helping give someone very special a chance to beat the battle that is Multiple Sclerosis.
Our beautiful Bettsy was diagnosed with MS in 2017 after suffering from optic neuritis 12 months prior, a condition that causes temporary partial vision loss and often an early sign of MS.
Bettsy lived with progressing symptoms for the first 2-3 years including extreme fatigue, vision loss, poor balance and vertigo, intolerance to heat, muscular cramping and weakness, numbness and difficulty sleeping.
Jess experimented with different lifestyle and wellness choices including diet variations, muscular rehabilitation and spiritual development, as well as a number of medical treatments. These all assisted in minimising the impact of her symptoms in the first few years, but the steady progress of the disease led to a number of significant life changes including being unable to continue in full time employment or drive a vehicle.
After falling pregnant and then birthing her son Oscar, in May 2021, Jess’ symptoms have continued to decline significantly where she is now unable to walk unassisted.
Anyone who knows Bettsy knows her for her magnetic energy that literally lights up any room she walks into.
She now has a beautiful son who she wants to be able to hold, and take to the beach, take to the park and drive to school.
She is now engaged to her partner of 8 years and wants the chance to walk down the aisle on her wedding day.
Because of this, I am raising funds for my friend to travel overseas to undergo a stem cell treatment not available in Australia.
All money raised will go towards the medical treatment and lodging during the procedure and international flights for Jess, her Fiancé and Son.
Thank you to everyone for your donations, for sharing this story, and for the opportunity to change Jess’ life ❤️
