Hi, my name is Wole Akinbi (Betty’s husband). I am fundraising for my wife, Betty’s funeral. 2021 has been a traumatic year for the Akinbi family. Recently our son had passed, and it took a huge toll on Betty. It had gotten to the point of her frequently going in and out of the hospital for the past few months. Unfortunately, this Sunday was the last time she’d come home. She had peacefully joined our son on Monday, November 29th, 2021.

Betty was a hard-working woman who gave her all and then some. She aspired to make a better life for her children. This meant countless days and nights of working as a CNA to make sure the house and family were in order. With these two sudden and unexpected deaths in the family, I have been left with funeral expenses I cannot afford on my own. I ask during this holiday season for any donation large or small. Even if you cannot give financially a prayer would do wonders. Betty’s last act of kindness was preparing a Thanksgiving dinner for the family she sacrificed so much for.
