Betty Hogue Graham Smoky Mountains Memorial

Update.

We have raised enough money to purchase the tree and marble plaque.  Thank you to everyone who has donated so far.   Now we are hoping to raise enough money for the bench and plaque.  I want to ask each and everyone who sees this fund raiser to please share it with everyone on your social media.  

Hello, my name is Vonda Magill and I’m one of Betty’s many Mountain Buddies.

 

Betty unexpectedly passed away on October 26, 2021. Betty loved the Great Smoky Mountains and visited it often as it was her “Happy Place.” It was a treasure she could retreat to and escape the stresses of her demanding job as a nurse. Betty made many memories with her girls, her husband and her Mountain Buddies, hiking, picnics in the park and sitting around a fire. We are pretty darn sure that heaven looks a lot like the Smoky Mountains. Betty left behind a husband, daughters, grandchildren and many, many friends. We are doing a GoFundMe in hopes that we can purchase a tree and place a marble plaque at the foot of a tree in a park in the Gatlinburg, Tennessee area. We are also praying to raise enough funds to place a bench with a plaque in one of the public parks in or around the same area. It would be where her family and friends could come and remember her in the place that she loved the most. Anything collected that exceeds the cost for the tree and bench would be given to the family for them to honor Betty. This was approved by Betty’s family. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
