Beau’s Medical Care and Procedure

Beau is my 6 year old Australian Shepherd and Border Collie Mix. If you knew him you’d know that he is the sweetest dog who wants nothing more than to be around people and to make them happy. He loves attention and cuddling with everyone. This past Tuesday he had to be brought to the ER because he was extremely bloated and lethargic out of the blue. After his vet did an ultrasound and X-rays they are still unsure what is going on. They believe it may be an extremely bad infection and may just need some time to really fight it. The other side of the coin is that he may have the form of cancer known at Lymphoma in his Spleen. We had him back home Tuesday evening after the ER and he was here with us until yesterday (Sunday the 17th) when things took a turn for the worst and his back right leg started to swell up. We are trying to get a biopsy of the spleen today so we can get a for sure answer to whether he indeed has cancer or not. I’m trying to raise these extra funds so I can help keep him in the Hospital getting the treatments he needs until we can receive the results of the biopsy. He’s too young for me to just give up on him and I need to know if this is something he can still fight or if it’s cancer and I need to do the right thing and let him go. This has been an extremely difficult week and we have used up all our savings to get him to this point. Even the smallest of donations would help his cause. Please help give me the peace of mind and do the right thing for Beau. He means the world to me and has touched so many lives.
