Bev and Bob Brandon - Son's Surgery

On the day of his graduation from Law School, Britt Brandon had a freak accident and fell six feet head first with outstretched arms trying to break his fall.  He shattered the bones in his wrist.    On May 23, 2017, Britt underwent surgery.  The surgeon implanted an internal fixator to secure the broken pieces of bone.  Britt will have several months of physical therapy and, hopefully, his arm will heal within the year.  Britt was not aware that he had been dropped from his student insurance and is ineligible for coverage until November 1st.  Britt  has an undergraduate degree from UT and just graduated from Texas A&M Law School.  Self-pay on this accident looks like it will cost him around $20,000.  As you can imagine, Britt is still trying to pay off student loans – so of course on the day of surgery, Britt’s parents paid upfront the required amount of just over $8,000 for the surgery.  Remaining bills still add up to over $10,000.
