Leader Dogs for the Blind
• Founded in 1938 by 3 Lions Club members
• Located in Rochester Hills
• 14,500 dogs put into service; approx. 300/ year
• Recipients from 39 countries
• Services free to recipient
Eversight (Michigan Eye Bank)
• Founded in 1957 by Ann Arbor Lions Club & U of M Medical Center
• In 2015 changed name to Eversight
• Cornea donor Management
• Cornea Transplant

Penrickton Center for Blind Children
• Established by 3 families in 1952
• Privately funded
• No charge to the families
• For blind children with at least one other disability
• 5-Day Residential Program, 33 Children ages 1 – 12
• Day Care for ages 1 – 6
• Offer consultation & Referral also
Beaumont Silent Children Fund
• Established in 1972
• For children with language & speech disorders
• Children ages 1 – 10
• Language delay, Autism, Cleft Palate, Stuttering, Down Syndrome, TBI and much more.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund
• Over 200 million people have diabetes
• Began over 40 years ago by parents
• Today an International Organization
• Mission: Cure, Treat, Prevent Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)
• Funded over $100M into 450+ research grants
Madonna University Hearing Fund
• Since 1976, 84+ Lions Clubs donated over $600,000
• Helps students with hearing disabilities
• Over 104 Scholarships granted
• Over 1000 students helped
Project KidSight
• 95% of vision disorders can be corrected if detected early
• Free eye screening of pre-school (6 mos – 5 years)
• Mobile screening device, 6 conditions checked
Judson Center
• Opened in 1924 in Warren, MI
• 4,000 children, adults & families each year
• Autism – 303 children helped last year
• Child & Family Services – 610 families preserved
• Disabilities – 277 adults into jobs
• Mental Health – 880 people helped
Kimberly Anne Gillary Foundation
• Began in 2000 in memory of Kimberly who died from undiagnosed heart condition at Troy Athens HS
• Mission to make MI schools Heart-Safe
• Over 600 Autometed External Defibrillators (AED) donated to MI schools
• 21 schools on waiting list
Joseph J. Laurancelle Foundation for Mental Illness
• Began in 1996 in Beverly Hills, MI
• Mission to educate teens and others about depression and other mental illnesses
• Educational Programs, help line, website
• 25,000 people have seen the program
District 11-2A Hearing Aid Program
• Local grants to subsidize hearing aid costs

• Since 1982, now located in Lapeer
• 160 children

• High school students selected annually to play at State Convention

Some of our accomplishments include:
• 380,000 people helped through $5.7M in disaster grants
• 5.4M people helped through $17.7M in humanitarian grants
• 9 countries expanded Lions Quest through $1.1M in Core 4 grants
• $5.4M in grants supported the vaccination of millions of children against measles and rubella
• $12M in SightFirst grants provided eye care services to an estimated 107,132,689 million people, improved 100 eye care facilities and/or trained 335,786 eye care professionals

Our Fundraisers
White Cane
Late April – early May. The project that creates the most visibility for Lions when Clubs throughout the world all collect in the streets and in front of storefronts for a week in the spring.
Candy Cane
During the month of December this project, like White Cane Week, creates visibility for the Beverly Hills Lions Club, and all fund raising is conducted within the Village of Beverly Hills.
Fun Run/Walk
Always held on Memorial Day. A 5KM run and a 4KM walk beginning and ending at Beverly School. All proceeds are used to support activities within the community of Beverly Hills.
