BEWARE! CANCER WARRIOR IS IN THE HOUSE!

Donation protected
We, Lisa Licano and Andrea Licano-Johnson, as sisters of Jennifer Licano, are asking you, our family and friends, to help make it possible for Jennifer to be able to concentrate more fully on her battle with cancer.
As the eldest sister, throughout our lives, Jenn has lovingly taken the responsibility for the emotional well-being and physical care of us, her little sisters. It is now our opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation by setting up this Go Fund Me to help her meet her ever-mounting medical and household expenses, and to make the scary challenge she's facing easier.
Jennifer is a young, fiercely independent, single woman; the mother of two adult children, Sierra and Matthew, and most recently a grandmother of a little girl, Aurora Grace – the light of her life.
Understandably, Jennifer's life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She underwent emergency surgery in August to remove what was thought to be a cancerous mass, which was obstructing part of the colon and was in danger of bursting through the wall of that portion of the colon.
A biopsy was taken of the mass and the lymph nodes in the surrounding area and sent for analysis. The pathology results reported that the mass removed was cancerous and out of 17 lymph nodes removed, one was positive for cancer; another one was precancerous.
Tests showed her lungs, liver and kidneys were clear of cancerous cells, however, since cancer cells were discovered outside the colon walls, there was a possibility minute cells could have migrated to other parts of her body. It was determined that a six-month, bi-weekly round of chemotherapy would be a safety measure to ensure that scenario would be alleviated.
Her treatment requires two-hour, round trip appointments six times a month. One of these appointments is a three-hour chemotherapy session every other week. This makes it difficult for her to work full time, due to the travel time to and from appointments and the severe side effects of the chemotherapy.
Despite extreme nausea and debilitating weakness she is experiencing, she is attempting to continue her full work schedule to meet her financial obligations, which now include medical expenses. Her co-pay for each treatment is $200, plus office visits, blood draws, and transportation cost will average $650 per month.
We are asking you, our family and friends, to share this request with as many people as possible, thus ensuring we meet and perhaps surpass our goal. This will make it possible for Jennifer to be able to concentrate more fully on her battle with cancer. She claims she is a “Cancer Warrior” – your donations will assure that she emerges victorious. Her favorite hashtag: #getyourbuttchecked.

We appreciate and thank you for any contribution.

May God bless you and may God bless us in our effort.
