Bed-Stuy Aquarium

We’re expanding a community project created by native Brooklynites Hajj-Malik, Je-Quan, and Floyd. What started as a random idea on a hot day amongst homeboys quickly became a global conversation about art, creativity, connection and environmental sustainability. To everyone’s pleasant surprise, Hajj, Quan, and Floyd have maintained the fire hydrant fish pond for weeks. Now we’re stepping up to support their valiant efforts. This is a pending nonprofit space for outreach through family friendly events, community support like free books and food, and free science learning center for kids. We are raising money for a solar generator, solar camera, benches, solar pond heater, and aquarium supplies to create a permanent installation.
