More information about SWITCHBOARD (VICTORIA) INCORPORATED: Switchboard provides a phone and webchat counselling service for the LGBTQI community and those with an LGBTQI issue. We provide phone counselling and referrals. This service relieves the needs of isolation, depression and early intervention and prevention in suicide. In addition it assists the family, friends, colleagues and staff of LGBTQI people in order to address the needs of LGBTQI people. Switchboard runs a volunteer community visitors program where we visit older LGBTQI people who are living in aged or residential care. This is established to relieve isolation, loneliness, depression and to provide much needed early intervention in health needs that arise from isolation and poor mental health.
