Denton Community Food Center Fundraiser
Tax deductible
We are local UNT Students and our group was discussing food insecurity in Denton. Over the past few years, we felt our best efforts would be to help the Denton Community Food Center and all the amazing things they do for the city of Denton. As we turn on the news, one can see reports of price increases and debates on the current status of a recession. Anyone who has gone grocery shopping in the past two years can tell you that it's a struggle each time you go to check out. Many have no idea where their next meal will come from, or how to get it. People are hungry and scared. We strongly believe that having food is a fundamental basic human right. It hurts our hearts to know that not everyone has the ability to eat when they are hungry. This is why we made the Denton Community Food Center our priority to address this issue. This is a non-profit organization and any donation will go directly to the food center to help the local residents of Denton. Our goal is to raise at least $1,000 to help Denton residents have a better dinner tonight and in the future.
