Do you like chapter books? Because that’s the only way I know how to write...
As many of you know - I lost my sister, Shannon to suicide on January 24th, 2019. Since her passing, I have done everything in my power to turn my grief into something positive for my community & the world.
I stumbled upon a woman’s story on a Today Show article who walks in similar shoes as my own. She in an artist out of Kansas City & she had this message that she created put up on a billboard in her city.
Her story & mission resonated with me so much that I creepily Facebook messaged her... and her husband (because I thought maybe he’d be easier to reach given the flood of messages she was receiving) & she wrote back...
She has agreed to give us the artwork for a local billboard.
billboards... are not cheap. But my community has rallied around me so much the past 7 months, supporting my crazy ideas & mission - that I’m reaching out again to make this happen.
The billboard will run for the months of October & November. November being gifted to us already...
Obviously - the more expensive billboards are those in higher impact locations - so I have set our goal at the maximum possibly needed.
Anything above & beyond our actual need will be donated to a charity - whether it be AFSP or somewhere else... this is not anything I am trying to profit on.
Any help you are willing to provide - whether $1 or $100... or just sharing this post is SO appreciated.
thank you all so much for your continued support in my crazy ideas
