Taylor's Celebration of Life Memorial

Hello family and friends,

First we would like to Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and consider our families needs. It is with great difficulty that I post this Gofundme as myself and family are not comfortable asking for help from others. But at this time we have to put our egos aside.

In early October, our oldest daughter suffered from pneumonia requiring hospitalization. It rapidly worsened and Taylor suffered respiratory failure. She had to undergo Intubation and be placed on a ventilator at UNMH MICU. Our lives were in complete limbo for 10 days while intubated. She has had many ups and downs, steps forward and steps back through out her stay but because of the GREAT MEDICAL team in the MICU she is finally recovering.

Taylor finally had the ventilator removed and was moved out of the ICU into a step-down unit. She is still undergoing hospital care, as Taylor has other medical complications and significant muscle loss. Doctors continue to monitor Taylor as she continues to progress and becomes more stable, she will be released to a rehabilitation center to receive muscle recovery therapy to ensure she can walk and move on her own.

This has been a very trying time for our entire family, and we have reached our financial breaking point. As many of you know Rudy and I along with 5 of our other children live in Aztec and Taylor has her own home in Albuquerque. As Taylor's parents we are responsible for taking care of both households. Traveling back'n forth to the hospital daily, meals & personal expenses for both myself and Rudy, as well as maintaining our own personal well being is taking a toll. Fortunately our other adult daughters Madison, Ella, and Daezhii have stepped up for Stormi and Jake by making sure they're are fed, make it to and from school, getting them to extra curricular activities, and running the household . We are so very proud and forever grateful for our adult daughters working full time, college studies, and still stepping up to help.

We continue to focus our efforts in helping Taylor recover to a point where she can be fully on her own, as before she got sick. Taylor continues to improve daily, setting and reaching those small daily goals... baby steps forward in the right direction. Our good days definitely out weigh our rough days. Prayers and well wishes have carried us thus far, but unfortunately, we still have bills to pay and ever-increasing expenses while Taylor is still recovering. We understand times are tough for many and not everyone will be able to donate, but we humbly come to you to ask for monetary donations to help with our families expenses during these trying times.
