Help Lahaina

On August 8th, 2023, the historic and beautiful town of Lahaina burned down within a single day. The beloved 150-year old Banyan Tree, over 2,000 buildings - 86% being homes, and over 100 people were lost on that treacherous day.
I went to visit Maui in October, and my family frequently drove through Lahaina to get to different parts of the island. I saw acres upon acres of ash and ruin, and several tents that "house" the several residents that were displaced by the fire. Seeing many photos of the fire, the ruins, and later seeing the aftermath first-hand, greatly impacted me, and I realized that I wanted to help. And with my friends, we have found that this is the way we can help from afar. We truly encourage you to help the people of Lahaina, who many months after the fire are still in great need. Even though Lahaina is several miles away from us, we as good human beings should look after one another, and neither distance nor time should dissuade us from doing so. Please help contribute to the recovery of the people in Lahaina.
We are raising money to benefit Hawaii Community Foundation, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
(A special Thank you to the Verrado Community! The bake sale and donations totaled $87 and have been added by one of our parents.)
