Wheelchair Swings for BG Parks
Donation protected
My oldest daughter Katelyn (22) saw on Facebook a picture of kids in wheelchairs swinging at a park smiling and having fun. A picture of how a community came together and built a Wheelchair Park for special needs people, so they do not have to feel left out. Now, we do not want to build a park, although that would be an awesome idea. We just want to raise enough money to install these special swings at 3 of our local area parks and maybe some schools. The simple things in life we take for granted everyday does not apply to those who have special needs. They need our help!
As a mother of a child with special needs that is in a wheelchair, unable to walk and not able to enjoy the simple things in life. Something like this at the parks would be amazing for her. She could swing like the big kids and get enjoyment from our park visits, not just be bored and watching others have fun.
Wheelchair accessible swings are specially designed to accommodate both adult and juvenile wheelchairs. Help give someone with special needs the sense of actually being able to something a little normal in their life. A service man or woman who is an amputee and wheelchair bound, the freedom to fly. A child who was born with disabilities the feeling of fitting in with their peers. You all know that a swing brings out the kid in all of us. Help bring out the kid in our special needs community.
Thank you and God Bless!
