Help Contribute to Chance’s Medical Vet Bills & Treatments

Hi, my name is Kendra and I’m fundraising for my dog Chance’s medical bills.

I’ve had Chance since the day he was born, when I was only 15 years old. He has been by my side now for over 10 years. He’s been with me through every accomplishment, struggle, break up, multiple moves, the birth of my daughter, everything. He’s been the best companion and protector I could’ve asked for. Chance also has a huge attachment to my 4 year old daughter and sleeps in her room every night. We love him so much and know he deserves more time with his family.

Since February of 2024, Chance has lost the mobility of his back legs. For a dog that has loved playing frisbee and has been so active his whole life, it has been heart breaking to see him struggle to walk. I have spent over $4,000 trying to get him a proper diagnosis. He has had multiple x-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork done. One vet came up with the conclusion that his Lyme disease was mimicking a auto-immune disorder and attacking his spinal cord. He has remained on prednisone and liver supplements for 6+ months to manage his pain.

Fast forward to earlier this month, Chance started having mystery nose bleeds out of no where. Yesterday 12/27, I rushed him to the local vet as his nose bleed was very bad and he had not improved after a visit on 12/17. The vet did a x-ray on his head and noted some swelling and inflamed tissue by his sinuses that is not normal. She recommended a CT Scan and said it is quite possible he has a brain tumor, which could have been causing his loss of back leg mobility this whole time. It has also been recommended to get his auto-immune bloodwork done ($1,000) to rule other illnesses out.

As of 1/5, Chance had bloodwork and a Urinalysis done. His vet currently has him on a very strong antibiotic as his bloodwork showed high white blood cells signaling a infection. We still need more funds for his CT Scan & Auto-Immune Bloodwork.

As a single young mom who has 3 jobs and has to pay rent, a car payment, day care tuition and so much more I simply cannot afford these insane vet bills. His CT Scan is estimated to be $2,000 and that does not include his future treatments, possible surgery and wheelchair ($500). Please keep Chance in your prayers and consider donating if you can ❤️
