My family in the Philippines

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

My name is Ayra. Before you continue, please just know how grateful I am for you even taking the time to read this, it means everything to me and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for my family.

For some context, my parents are both from the Philippines but I was born here in England, something my mum did for me that I’ll forever be grateful for as she made the decision to give me a real opportunity at life. When she made this decision, my biological dad Alvin stayed in the Philippines.

Fast forward to now, my mum met my dad Andy, who stepped in and adopted me since I can remember. From my mum and Andy, my little brother AJ was brought into this world.

Meanwhile, in the Philippines, my dad Alvin married Kim, and together they had three beautiful children, Ace, Ayesah and Akiroh.

Since I have been able to, all I have ever done is work so incredibly hard, no matter what I do, my end goal has always been, and will always be, to provide for my family in the Philippines as the life they live over there is nothing compared to how I live here. It’s something that keeps me motivated, but also breaks my whole heart knowing my family lives the way they do.

Unfortunately, my dad in the Philippines has just lost his home. However, our version of home in England is very different to my dad’s way of living. His home is a small box room with a tiny mattress and that is all. The government have demolished his home and others in the same village as him. He has been sleeping on the streets or has attempted to move the debris in his old home to make himself a space to sleep.

As you can imagine. I can’t even put into words how my heart aches for him and my family. From the bottom of my heart, anything you can donate, 50p to £5, whatever the sum, I would be so grateful if you could help to rebuild my dad’s life. Although he has lost absolutely everything, all he has asked me for is paint and tiles for his new place. But I’m wanting to be able to give my dad somewhere to really call home and be able to provide him with a real mattress in the safety of his own four walls.

Times are so tough right now, hence why I myself am even doing this. There is only so much I can do for my dad right now and I am desperate to get him off the streets so I truly don’t know what else to do.

If you are unable to donate, even a reshare of the link would be so appreciated. I am taking anything and everything I can get right now. I’m sure you all understand there are no limits when it comes to family. I have put the goal up for £200 but anything is more than he currently has and if by chance we reached over £200 he would be able to start building a real home inside his new place by buying other utensils and house appliances.

Once again, with all my heart, thank you so much for taking the time.

With love, Ayra x
