Fischer Family Medical Expenses

Update!
After nine scary, exhausting, and uncertain months, the Fischer family is relocating to Denver to be closer to Edwin who is still in the hospital. After two months of living in the Ronald McDonald House, they were able to find a small apartment near Children's Hospital in Aurora where Edwin will hopefully be transferred to and will continue care when he is able to leave the hospital. Many of you have asked time and time again how it is that you can help, well here it is;

1) Continue to pray for this little family! The prayers of a righteous man avail much!

2) Donate! After months of traveling, traveling, and traveling three hours away from home and staying at the hospital this little family has stretched themselves and their wallets farther than they ever thought possible. Please pray about it and help if you can. After stressing about their childs' health, money should not be keeping them up at night. I am adding an extra $1000 to the goal so that we can help them and ease their worried minds!

I want to thank you for taking the time to read and consider helping the Fischer family. We love them so much, and I know that so many of you do too!

On March 13th, 2019, Riley gave birth to a baby boy named Edwin. What makes this a special circumstance is that she was only 29 weeks into her pregnancy, and Edwin came during a major blizzard weighing in at a 3 pound, 8 ounces.

Her husband Dustin, and her 3 year old little boy (Pierce) were with her at home when her contractions came in hard and fast. They jumped into their vehicle, despite the blizzard and headed to the hospital. After getting stuck in the snow, they called 911 and were assisted to the hospital where she quickly gave birth to little Edwin. The hospital in Sidney went to great lengths to get him stabilized and despite the roads being closed due to weather, they managed to get medicine to him from many miles away. God was with them all!

The next day both Riley and Edwin were flown to St. Luke's Children's Hospital of Denver where he have been in the NICU since and Riley has been by his side the entire time.

Dustin has had to continue to work despite the circumstance, being able to join Riley only on the weekends.

This is where you are needed...

First- prayers. Please pray that Edwin continues to gain weight, continues to develop, and stays free from infection. He has at least until the end of May to stay in the hospital (that was his due date). Please pray for his mom and dad, that they stay strong during this time. Please pray for the care team at the hospital. They are amazing!

Second- support. There are a million different expenses that come with having a preemie. Travel to and from the hospital, to doctors offices, meals, gas, etc. This young family is just starting out, and medical expenses can be crippling. Can you help? A little or a lot, it will all go to make sure that they can get through this time without having to worry about keeping their bellies full or gas in the tank. Please consider donating, AND sharing on social media.

Dustin and Riley are hard working, sweet people. They need our love right now. Can you help?
