Folds of Honor Fundraiser
Donation protected
Some of you may remember a couple of years ago, I did a fundraiser to raise money for Camp Hope here in Houston. I’d like to do another fundraiser. But this time, bigger.
With the 18 service members who have recently passed away between the 13 on 8/26 and the Naval Helicopter crash killing 5, many of those men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice were fathers and mothers. Including a soon to be father, Marine LCpl Rylee McCollum.
Together, we will be raising money for the Folds of Honor. For those unfamiliar with Folds of Honor, I highly suggest watching LTC Rooney’s short video on how and why he started this selfless organization if you haven’t already done so. They provide scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
The goal is $10,000 by Christmas Day. At $5,000 I’ll shave my beard and the same rules apply as the last fundraiser. The top donor (or collective group of donors under one named organization) gets to pick who shaves it, how it’s shaved, with what, what I’m wearing, and where I’m at. Now, once we hit $10,000… the winner will get to BIC my head as well.
So, help me shave it all off for a good cause. The fundraiser will end Christmas Day and the winners will be announced the following day. The winners will do the shaving New Year’s Eve.
I know the holidays might be a hard time for some to donate, but even $5 or sharing this video would help tremendously.
Honor Their Sacrifice. Educate Their Legacy.
