BI - Paper Test Project

Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County and Washington State urgently need to implement large-scale, rapid, routine testing to restore the economy and slow the spread of Covid-19. In order to achieve this outcome, the greatest chances of success lie in the common ethos of responsibility of individual families.
Our approach is one that feasibly employs unique access and utilization of the strongest global scientific theories, private funding, state resources and local human capital. Utilizing the Island for the pilot study is imperative because of the non-transient nature of the school population on the Island.
On July 31, 2020 The BI- Paper Project team met with expert representatives from global, state and local entities, Harvard University's Dr. Mina Mina, Retired Vice Admiral and Head of WA State Covid-19 Response Dr. Raquel Bono, NYU Langone’s Dr. Arthur Caplan, Head of the Navy’s Hawaii State Covid-19 Response Dr. Jennifer Espiritu and local doctor Dr. Blain Crandell . Our team is presently serving on the WA State- Staying Open Staying Safe Private-Public Collaboration to make recommendations for our Governor's Pandemic Response WA State.
Based on the work of Derek Toomre, of U-Smell-it https://www.usmellit.com we propose the BI-Paper Test Project to bring public, private sector and community partners together to harness available technologies, coordinate clinical study, capture and analyze data, generate reliable methods, and provide replicable frameworks to contribute to the recovery of society.
In order to achieve rapid initiation of the pilot study, the mechanism of philanthropic funding is the least obstructive. The project seeks to raise $250,000.00 to get the operational frameworks in place, materials and supplies purchased and study protocols off the ground so that we can begin to generate data.
