In 2019, two Guatemalan biologists specialized in the study and observation of birds found themselves with an opportunity: to work for Guatemala to join 13 other countries in the Americas, in the fight to preserve the habitats on which migratory shorebirds depend.
For two and a half years, they have worked together with Guatemalan and international institutions to show the importance that these birds have for the health of the environment, as well as the benefits that conservation can provide to local communities and the country's economy.
We want to tell you their story, and that is why we ask for your help. The idea is to tell through photos, a text and a short video, the journey, the effort and the achievements that these two women have made from 2019 to date.
This story will be published on https://revistaviatori.com/en, as well as on its different social platforms. We will also seek to distribute it in other media outlets in Central America, so that it has much greater reach
