Bicol Needs Help: Typhoon Kristine Relief Fund

Dear friends,

As an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) living in the UK, my heart aches for my hometown in the Bicol Region of the Philippines, which has been ravaged by a devastating disaster. Tropical Storm Trami, known locally as #TyphoonKristine, recently made landfall in northern Luzon, unleashing flash floods that have left a trail of unimaginable destruction in Naga City and beyond.

At this moment, we mourn the tragic loss of at least 14 lives (including young children), with over 382,000 people across Bicol and surrounding regions grappling with the aftermath. Many families have lost their homes, their possessions washed away in an instant. Heartbreakingly, there are still people stranded on rooftops, desperately waiting for rescue as the floodwaters rise around them. Our local resources are overwhelmed, and rescue operations are struggling to keep pace with the urgent needs of those affected.

In this dire situation, we urgently need essential equipment—6x6 trucks, dump trucks, and boats—to support rescue efforts and reach those who are still in danger. I am raising funds to provide emergency relief and vital resources that will help the people of Bicol rebuild their lives after this heartbreaking disaster.
