Biddy’s road to recovery

We have set up this fundraising account to help our beautiful friend Biddy as she prepares to return home from hospital. She is a pillar of our community; running our tidy towns, participating in various scor acts & always there to offer healing to anyone in need.

Now our friend needs us.

In July 2022 Biddy suffered a large stroke which left her in ICU fighting for her life. Through her pure determination, strength & fighting spirit she weathered that storm and was recovering well. After numerous weeks of intense physio she returned home with a long road ahead of her but with hope of a full recovery.

Unfortunately that hope was short lived, and after only a few days at home, in August 2022, she suffered another large stroke. She was rushed back to ICU where her battle to survive & recover started all over again.

Unfortunately for Biddy, recovery this time is proving much slower.

Now as Biddy prepares to return to Ballinagore to her wonderful husband Kevin, to be cared for in her own home they need our help. In order for Biddy to recover safely in her home, modifications will need to be made to their house to accommodate her needs along with assistance with ongoing care for Biddy.

Biddy is a true loyal friend, always ready to help those in need. She cared for people through her work in The Department of Psychiatry Drogheda, HSE and also as a healer in her spare time. Both jobs she loved but is no longer able to continue at present. Now it’s our turn to help Biddy.

This is where we, as their friends and community, hope we can help Biddy & Kevin by setting up this page to raise some much needed & vital financial support.

Biddy is a wonderful loving wife, a caring mother, an adored Nana, a cherished sister and an amazing friend to anyone who has had the pleasure to know and love her. We miss her infectious laugh and divilment around the village.

Please make her wish come true to recover & grow stronger in her own home surrounded by all who love her.
