Biery-Hart Family

Carol Ann Biery was born on June 18, 1960 to Kenneth and Beth Biery. Pasadena born and raised, Carol passed away peacefully in her Altadena home on May 3, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her two children, Trenten and Jennifer Hart, her father Ken, sister Pamela, brother Doug and his wife Aubyn, and her niece and nephew, Riona and Neal Biery. She is also survived by her cousins Cyndie, Ed, Brian Biery and his partner Anna Buss.

Carol taught elementary and middle school for thirty-five years at Baldwin Park, thirty of which were spent at Elwin Elementary School. She was a beloved teacher who loved her job, especially her students and parents.

Carol loved animals, especially horseback riding. She adored dogs, almost all of whom slept at the foot of her bed. Carol enjoyed sci-fi and fantasy, and especially loved true crime shows like SUV and NCIS. She also loved spending her days attending musicals with Trent, getting pampered with Jenny, and watching both kids compete in water polo and swim meets.

Carol especially loved her children, who she said were the best things that ever happened to her. Following their mom’s footsteps, Trent and Jenny are both teachers. Carol is so incredibly proud of both of them. She is their biggest fan, and they consider her their role model, cheerleader, and best friend.

The Biery-Hart family would also like to thank their friends Debbie and AJ who have graciously helped with the care of Carol and her father, Ken.
