In 2020 Big Atomic wrote and recorded several songs. These songs are about social and economic injustice, about love and work, and the American dream - whatever that means. Some of our songs were inspired by the events that transpired in downtown Louisville in 2020. Members of the band found themselves marching together in protest of police brutality - the song "Justice Denied" - directly comes from that. We are a band of predominantly white men. We want to take this moment to address that. We are in no way trying to profit off of Black pain. We want to take point from Black leadership and Black artistry. After listening to the recordings we'd been working on, we decided that any money we could make off these recordings should go to Change Today, Change Tomorrow.
