Philip Gregg Bishop - May You Rest in Peace. 10/01/1951 - 11/12/22
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.
There has been such an overwhelming outpouring of love and offers of support as we traverse the loss of Phil Bishop in this physical realm. We are truly grateful to all of you. In honor of Phil's memory and lifelong work, we have set up this Go Fund Me in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
Phil's love and service reached across both coasts through personal relationships, friendships, music, motorcycles and his passion for AA, so there will be two celebrations in his honor.
East Coast Celebration of Life: Thank you to those who supported and attended

Thank you, Mike Marineau, Dan Lynch, and the strong fellowship surrounding us.
West Coast Celebration of Life:
Sunday, March 5th, 2023 - Orange County California
Costa Mesa Woman's Club: 11 am
610 W 18th Street, Costa Mesa, CA, 92627
Thank you, Henry Rogers, Mark Bowie, Marc Bishop and the strong fellowship surrounding us.
A portion of the funds raised will be used for both celebrations, but more importantly, all other donations will be split between Phil's favorite charities.
In California, Phil spent countless hours, days, and years at Charle Street on a regular basis. He has many a story, created endless life-long relationships, and helped untold numbers of men get sober.
Our Sole Purpose is to Help Sick Alcoholics Recover And Carry The A.A. message.
The First Step House, Inc. (Charle Street) is run 100% on private volunteer donations. Thanks to the generosity of individuals in our community as well as alumni of Charle Street, we are able to help over 800 men per year.
In Florida, Phil was a huge supporter of Homesafe. Every year we supported and rode with the Alternatives, a sober bike club, to bring Christmas, some love and light, gifts and Santa to the kids at Homesafe. The kids loved the roar of the motorcycles as we all rode up.
At HomeSafe, we are creating safer, more productive lives for infants, children, young adults and families. We provide comprehensive programs preventing new cases of violence, protecting victims of child abuse and domestic violence, and preparing children, young adults and families for safer, more productive lives.
Thank you for being part of Phil's journey. He loved each and every one of you in his unique way. Thank you for participating in the contributions to the Celebrations of Life and for supporting the kids at Homesafe and the mission at Charle Street, Phil's passion...seeing a guy get sober.
Many Blessings,
Pamela, and the AA communities on both coasts who have come forward to make all this happen.
If you have photos or videos of Phil that you would like to share and include in the slideshow we are creating, please email them or send them through the social media of your choice.

Good old-fashioned step work.
The big book and two men at a table.
Just the way our founders and Phil found to be the best practice.
