Big John fights against Glioblastoma!

Hello to anyone reading this! If you have found yourself reading this, I would assume that you know our number 1 guy, John Kelleher, and if you do not know him thank you for tuning in to his story! As a family man of 4 with a smokeshow wife, John is a very proud man! I have been strictly instructed to not do this, which both John and his wife Tanya know is my trigger word to “do something”. I am a close family friend of the Kelleher’s and I know, atleast for me, I’ve been looking for a way to help them get through this tough time whether they want it or not! John’s been unable to work since July due to his side effects and Tanya is his full time caregiver.

For those of you who don’t know, John has been fighting an ongoing battle with brain cancer for over 10 years. Now this is the extreme spark note version because we focus on the good around here! Originally, when he first found out about his diagnosis, he underwent surgery and radiation, and thankfully was good for just about 10 years until about a year ago. Doctors discovered the tumor had grown a bit and was affecting an area of his brain that caused new symptoms. His first opinion neurosurgeon would not operate, which prompted his daughters to fight tirelessly to get him a second one with Penn. Thankfully, their surgeons decided to operate! Although this was ideal, it is still an uphill battle for him. He has been getting chemo and avastin treatments for the last 6 or so months for glioblastoma, but he is not giving up the fight! Its been a tough road, mentally and physically, and Tanya has taken the duty of being his full time caregiver. Unfortunately, he’s had his fair share of complications since his surgery causing medical bills to rack up.

John is a small business owner of Motorworks in Trenton and he is very proud of all he's accomplished and been able to provide for his family. I am making this because I can personally say that if the roles were reversed, he would be doing this for me or anyone he knows. He has supported me and been there for me when he did not have to, because that’s what kind of person he is. I know that no one wants to find themselves in this position, but I know there are so many supporters of John’s and the Kelleher’s so I just wanted to give a platform where we can all do what John would do for us!
