Please help Big Sky local and resort employee, Matt Bonacci.

On March 19th our friend Matt Banacci, a local Big Sky resident, experienced numbness in his left arm and was taken to the B2 clinic in Big Sky where the decision was made to transport him to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. They determined that he was experiencing a mild stroke due to a congenital heart defect. After being seen by a cardiologist it was decided that he should have a heart valve replacement in Missoula. He was released from the hospital 3 days later.

On April 5th Matt drove to Bozeman for grocery shopping and began to feel discomfort in his chest which caused him to divert to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a collapsed lung which was not related to his heart condition. He was told that "it sometimes happens spontaneously in tall skinny men". It was just a very untimely coincidence. Due to the blood thinners, he was taking to prevent another stroke, his chest tube would not stop bleeding. They finally got the bleeding under control and released him 5 days later.

Next Tuesday, Matt is scheduled for surgery in Missoula. His mother is flying in to be with him through the surgery and post op care. He may be convalescing for up to three months.

These unfortunate events have put a considerable strain on Matt's finances with deductibles, missed work, travel expenses to Missoula, and travel and lodging for his mother.
