Big Sweet Duke Needs TWO New Hips!

Duke was getting ready to come to Canine Humane Network Maryland from Drowzydawg Rescue in Texas when we discovered that he needs a double hip replacement.

 

Duke is an amazing and friendly Mastiff/Lab mix. He is about one year old and weighs over 100 lbs. He has an adopter lined up already and will be serving as an emotional support dog. We found out at his neuter appointment that he has severe hip dysplasia. This is a future death sentence on a dog of his size, and he eventually will not be able to walk. He needs a double hip replacement that will cost upwards of $18,000.
