Help Life Academy's 8th Graders Get to Big Trees State Park!
For the last three years, Life Academy of Health and Bioscience (located in Oakland, CA) has brought our sixty-four 8th Graders to Calaveras County for their 8th Grade Retreat. On this trip, we go to Moaning Caverns, paddle board on White Pines Lake, hike, and camp for two nights in Big Trees State Park to celebrate the end of students' middle school career. It's been amazing! :)
This year, our 8th Grade Retreat will take place from 5/30/18 - 6/1/18.
We will be doing to do this trip again, but there is a small hiccup this year... Oakland Unified School District's significant debt. While this debt hurts all schools in the district, it puts our small, public school at a great disadvantage financially.
Without your support, we will not be able to afford the most wonderful and exciting parts of our trip: the cave, the paddle boards, and the healthy food.
Please help us give our students the experience they DESERVE!
