Rescued, Blind Puppy in need of help!

Dear friends,

We want to share the inspiring journey of Bear, our brave and resilient boy who faces the world with incredible courage despite being born completely blind. At just 8 weeks old, he was abandoned at a shelter, scared and alone. When my fiancé and I adopted him, we vowed to provide him with the exceptional life he deserves—filled with love, joy, and adventure. Bear’s spirit radiates happiness and sweetness.

A couple of months after bringing him home, we noticed a slight limp. We initially thought it was from playing too rough with his sister, but it only worsened over time. My fiancé suspected it might be hip dysplasia, but we weren’t certain at that point.

After two visits to the vet, we finally got an X-ray, revealing a heartbreaking truth. Bear is dealing with severe hip degeneration in both hips, with deformed sockets causing his femoral head to misalign. The vet expressed it is the worst case she has ever seen.

The vet informed us that he will need two extensive and very expensive surgeries and many months of rehabilitation. It is going to be a long year for our blind boy.
