Biggs Boxing - Decatur Boxing Club

Xavier "Bad Pads" Biggs has kept the Decatur Boxing Club open for the past 20 years on blood, sweat, and tears.  Everything he has to give goes to keeping the gym open, the trainers employed, and the community involved.  He has brought numerous fighters to greatness within its walls and everyone that trains there today feels the presence of the greats who have passed through the doors before them.  If you've visited you know it's the most authentic boxing gym you'll find outside of Philly.  

The members come for the training, the release, the family and the friendship.  It's an amazing gym where people from all walks of life come together and celebrate their love of boxing.  Whether you're a member or just visiting for the day when you step through the doors it feels like home.  A space where you can be YOU without worry.  Spaces like this are incredibly rare and must be cared for especially in times of uncertainty.  

As we all know gyms are being asked to shut down during this pandemic and we want to make sure the gym is still standing when everyone is ready to return.  We want to make sure the trainers are ready to work pads with you, and give you words of encouragement, that the bags are swinging and that the ring is filled with activity.  We want to be able to welcome you back with open arms but we need your help to do this.
