Bike Trip Ghana: Kids Community Center

Hi, I am David, the creator of the NGO Running Bear Travels.

In Febuary of 2025 I will ride my bike from Accra, the capital of Ghana on the west coast, all the way up to the border to Cote d'Ivoire in order to raise money to build a kids and youth community center in Busua.

Its 2 weeks before the Bike Trip through Ghana and it’s somehow hard to focus. So many things in this world are moving into the wrong direction. It can be scary at times.

I realised how these things have an effect on us as humans. People are stressed out, aggressive and sad. Its harder and harder for me to focus. When I close my eyes and feel what drives me and this project its always been kids. I believe they are the ones to change our world if we raise them the right way.

That being said this Bike Trip and goals moving onwards will have them as the main focus: its how it started and thats how it supposed to be.

The donations for this bike trip will go 100% to:

- the kids community center (with a workshop)

- bikes for ghanaian kids

The community center is the base for everything we will do. that being said this needs to be done asap. In order to do so we need help.

I want to do bike trips with them, bring them back to nature and teach them skills they can use: basic knowledge about bikes, how to repair them and how fun these are.

I needed to write this down. When times get tough (and they will) I have to remember why Iam doing all of this. The world can be a very dark place but we have to shine a light to change something.
