Open Arms Korea Bike-A-Thon 2.0

Hi, my name is Eric and I will be biking across Korea to raise $5000 for birthday gifts that will be provided for over 70 children living in welfare homes.

In 2019, I had a chance to volunteer with OpenArms Korea as an Early Year's volunteer, teaching English and mentoring the kids. OpenArms is a volunteer organization in South Korea that provides play-based English programs in a caring learning environment at welfare homes for children living without their families. With the help of the team at OpenArms, we are going to purchase a birthday present for each individual child and provide them with the joy, love and hope they truly deserve. Last year was my first year of doing the fundraiser but since it went so well and the kids LOVED their birthday gifts, we had to do it again and double up the goal! Here are a few pictures of the children receiving their gifts last year.

On September 13th of this year, I will be biking over 550kms from Busan to Seoul. (which is basically the same distance from Victoria to Port Hardy!) Rest easy, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to birthday gifts thanks to the wonderful team at Open Arms. If you have any more questions at all please don't be shy to reach out!
