Biking for Biology - 2018
Donation protected
Biking for Biology is a program set up by the WCU Biology Club to help raise money to fund events for club members throughout the 2018 academic school year.
A very brave professor (Dr. Darby Harris) at WCU has volunteered to bike for the club. He is going to bike up and down Cullowhee Mountain. Each time he climbs up the hill to the summit he is traveling approximately 1,700 ft in elevation along a 4.3 mile trail. Our goal is to raise enough money to have him bike up the mountain 10 times for a total of 17,000 ft in elevation.
Each lap up to the peak of Cullowhee Mt. and back down to the base is going to cost $100. This is just a suggest amount, but ANY DONATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
**If you donate a partial amount Dr. Harris will be riding the equivalent distance for the amount that was donated. For example $50 will have Dr. Harris ride up one way**
***Cullowhee Mountain is located on Cullowhee Mountain Road, which is 5 miles south of WCU's campus. This event is open for viewing and will take place Saturday October 6, 2018 at 8 am!***
