Biking for Iraqi Orphans
Donation protected
The children of Iraq are in crisis. More than 800,000 have been orphaned and over 1.3 million displaced in the most recent years of war. One in five Iraqi children work to support their families, and few Iraqi children will grow up in peace and security. The current Covid-19 pandemic has made their already hard lives all the harder.
The Iraqi Children Foundation's sole mission is to improve the lives of these innocent victims, primarily orphans and street children, who are most vulnerable. The ICF funds programs to advance health, education, and protect children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Most importantly, the ICF offers love, support, and hope to young people to help them reach their full potential.
Elias Eldadah--Iraqi Children Foundation's Youth Liaison--along with his friends, Michael LesStrang, Jake Shue, Aidan Ortiz, and Luca Arvanitis, believe in this mission. We are fortunate to live far away from the pain that children no different from us have to endure daily, and we wish to do our small part for them.
So we have launched a special fundraising campaign.
On August 2, 2020, all five of us will bike 100 miles (500 miles total). We hope we can gain your support by a donation of any amount you think is reasonable for each of these miles cycled that day.
Every dollar will go directly to the Iraqi Children Foundation, where it will make a real difference for these innocent children half a world away. Even the smallest amount can change their lives.
Please support our ride for them!
