In October (21-25), Niels van Doorn will be riding the Rwandan Epic to raise funds for constructing a new building at Tania School. The Tania Integrated Centre is a school on the far south side of Ngong Hills in Kenya, that has a mission to rehabilitate and provide basic and quality education to children with special needs. Niels is General Manager of Chrysal Africa, and Chrysal has a long-established relationship with this centre and has been able to support them at different stages in their development.

Due to new government regulations, the current building is not sufficient to be able to teach class 7 and 8, and the children in that age group are sent to other schools in the region. The objective is to be able to host these children as well, and for that we need to build extra classrooms, a laboratory, a computer room and library. There is currently a school building, but with only one floor and in need to be finished. The project will entail completing two floors on top of the current structure and finish it with proper roofing. The total is estimated at EUR 30.000,-, which will be the target for this sponsor project. We are looking at companies that can support Niels and Chrysal with raising the funds to finalise this for the Tania Integrated Centre.
