Bilateral Knee Surgery for Lokie

Hi Folks, my name is Loki and I am 4 years old! I have grown big and strong but both of my knees are in bad shape. I need surgery to repair both of them at the same time. My Mommy and Daddy usually have such happy faces, but they have been looking at a computer screen a lot lately, then looking at me with very sad eyes. After taking me to a few different doctors, they still have sad faces.
Mommy and Daddy are trying to tell me something, but I am not sure I understand. It has something to do with worrying about money.  Jasmine Kitty Supreme, my best friend has been trying to fill me in on what is going on, but she is very sad too now. They can not afford to pay for the surgery to fix both of my knees. The ligaments are torn and I have a hard time walking and am in constant pain! From what Jasmine has said,  my breed of Super Dog German Shepherd are prone to this problem. My parents have been saving money thinking I only needed surgery on one knee, but found out last week, now it is both knees that need repaired! A surgeon has graciously agreed to perform the advanced surgery on both of my knees but said the cost of the surgery will start at $3,500, unless there are problems, then the price may have to go up.
If they can not come up with the money to pay for the surgery, the doctor has said the only alternative is to put me to sleep.
I don't think I like the sound of that! I love taking naps with my bestie, but always being asleep is no fun! I want to romp and play like I used to with my family, friends and other critters I have not met yet!
Will you please help me and put smiles back on the faces of my Mommy, Daddy and Jasmine Kitty Supreme!
